About Carl Buhler, CEO of Buhler Consulting
With experience in the US Air Force extending nearly three decades, retired US Air Force Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Carl Buhler currently serves as the CEO and Lead Consultant of Buhler Consulting, LLC.
Carl also serves as the CEO of Bionic Lift, LLC and is on two defense-related advisory boards. He is also a Partner with Grey Beard Associates.
General Buhler, Air Force (retired) served in assignments across the globe. While on active duty, Brig Gen (ret) Buhler served as a two-time major command logistics director during his assignments at Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and Headquarters, Air Combat Command (ACC). During these assignments, he was responsible for aircraft maintenance, munitions and logistics activities while he also provided oversight of the infrastructure investment and force protection programs. Carl's core focus areas were to ensure maintenance, logistics readiness, engineering, and security forces units achieved high levels of readiness, while ensuring they were ready to deploy for combat on short notice. He also worked with various staff agencies, MAJCOMs, the inspector general, and wings to increase sortie production, sortie generation and readiness.
While at ACC, Brig Gen (ret) Buhler also ensured Air Force Engineering and Technical Services (AFETS) personnel provided high-quality technical training and support to field-level units spanning the globe.
A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Carl deployed on active duty to the cease-fire phase of Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. His experience extends to commanding the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Group in Southwest Asia, the 78th Air Base Wing at Robins AFB in Georgia, and the Ogden Air Logistics Complex at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Active with the Thunderbirds Alumni Association, Carl Buhler served as the United States Air Forces Air Demonstration Squadron's maintenance officer during the 1997 and 1998 show seasons. He is a graduate of Valdosta State College in Georgia, majoring in Applied Mathematics.
